HH-814S (1.6mm) hardfacing FCW welding wire for top surface wear resistant layer

Charateristics

It produces a wear resistant, primary carbide-containing weld deposit which is extremely resistant to abrasion, due to the finely dispersed hard niobium carbides. The weld deposit exhibit good impact resistance, offer good anti-strip performance, but cannot be flame cutting and machined. Weld deposit exhibits cracks.

Microstructure:  High-chromium-high-carbon hard alloy on iron base with niobium additions: C – Cr – Nb – Fe

Machinability:  Grinding only

Cutting:  Not suited for flame-cutting

Cutting: Multi layers.

Application

Recommended particularly for the hardfacing of parts subjected to high abrasion and medium impact stress, e.g. Roller press top coats, Mill Roller top coats and crusher rolls. The application temperatures should not exceed 500℃.

Typical compositions of pure welded deposit (3 layer welded )

C Cr Si Mn Nb Ni,V,Ti, Mo, others
3.2-4.5% 20-25% 0.7-1.2% 0.5-1.0% 6.0-7.0%  suitable

Hardness of pure welded deposit: ≥ 55 HRC
